Valentine's Card for Hubby!

This is my better picture...of course it's SOC, but it is truer to llife...and I forgot to mention I used one of my fiskars embossing plates in my cuttlebug with this...

Sorry for the tight crop on the card...but I had to...otherwise you would see my computer screen...LOL

I used "stickles" from walmart, gp cardstock, recollections paper, sonburn paper, and martha stewart patp loops. I will post a better picture later!!

Black and Pink...for Robyn

Robyn over at My Pink Stamper issued a cold weather challenge and here is my entry!! I used Wassau metallic paper(love this stuff!) sonburn "card stock" and Stamps of Life stamps--love this new set....

more craftiness...

I made this for my daughter....super easy and supercute too....she really liked it! When I asked her where it was, she said, "Are you going to take it back??" I told her that I WAS NOT going to take it back, just taking a picture of her...so she quickly went and found it and posed for a picture with it on. Of course she has a "I'm humoring my mom" look...hey I'll take whatever ....

new cards!!

Cards made from my new Stamps of Life set!! Numbers 1 and 4 were made by me...and the other two are made by my kids...number two is by my 5 year old--hence the upside down happy birthday. 3 is from my daughter...who did such a good job!! I love her little yellow hearts that she added...

craftiness

I started with this unpainted wood leter I bought from creativexpress.com for less than a dollar....
I then painted it pink...really is there any other color??

It looked bare...so I had this flower/ribbon thingy lying around waiting for a project such as this to take it apart.
This is me "cutting" the ribbon...just showing my skills...

I frayed the ends with my hands...really technical here...

tied it around the letter...looked cool but still needs a little something...

Oh I know....a flower!!! But still needs something else...

More flowers!! Loving it~just need to add magnets to the back and it's good to go!

thanks for taking the time to look mom!!

crafty stuff

I know that it seems like I haven't done anything...but I have!!! I have been trying to do something crafty every day...taking the pictures with my phone and will upload them shortly.

easter egg hunt

Yesterday my oldest's school had an egg hunt. Man, it was too much fun! I had a blast hiding the eggs, then the kids came outside and it was pandemonium!! I got some great pictures...
this was Gavin looking for "Piderman" eggs.....he has his "binoculars" on....LOL

Tomorrow we go to my aunt's for lots of egg hunting...I can't wait!!

some more pics

Ah...I was relaxed...at least for a couple of minutes

We went to Lake Degray on Monday and Tuesday, and man was it fun! I enjoyed being away from my phone and internet, and missed my scrapbook supplies! I don't know where I would have set them anyway, but theres something comforting about bringing them with me...like I could start on an LO, but then again this was about our family. We haven't done this since last year, and this was important since it's post-husband giving a kidney to his dad and we have to get our lives back to normal(as normal as we can be...LOL). I feel like there was this huge pushpin at that moment(hubby and fil in surgery, month later dh had infection--went back to the hospital) and we haven't been able to move. Now it seems things are getting back to normal...things aren't always punctuated with thoughts of the surgery, and I think it's getting better to deal with it.

We took Sam with us to the Lake, and he had a great time chasing the ducks and they quacked at him, of course who would be scared of a chiuahua? it was funny they would be out in the water being quiet then all of a sudden would start quacking and Sam would have to go to where they were quacking at. I was also trying to get pictures of the yellow tiger swallowtails, and the kids were not my biggest problem, it was Sam! He would sneak up on them when I was taking picture...dern him!

Gavin thought that the coolest thing was when for a split second he thought the sand was edible...the only problem is that sand isn't the best to eat...LOL I got a great picture of Gavin with sand all in his tongue...

Alex was great, she would try to get water and of course Gavin would think that he needed to do that too. I bought the kids some buckets for making sand castles, and their dad was helping them to put them up...Gavin liked kicking his and his sisters...she didn't like that much...LOL
